I was born in 1976, the hottest year! This is possibly the reason why my central heating is set HIGH during the winter! I have and are proud of my Northern roots, and am from mining stock. Thankfully my parents moved 'down South' before the Strikes/Closures - so Lord only knows what i'd be doing now! Catering is my 'profession' but due to ill health etc - this is now no longer an option. Now for the 'ill health' - I have Tourette's Syndrome. It is 'severe' enough to warrant me not to work - so the only person that can employ me, is errrmmmmm!!! ME!! By working for myself, I can pull the hours that I want/can deal with.

I love Free and Open Source Software, and believe in the ethics behind movement. Problem is, with Free and Open Source Software, is in a commercial environment, there are going to be conflicting issues at play. My way - be platform agnostic - but be aware of the restrictions of some softwares - I beleive there should be 5 Freedoms in FOSS - the fifth being, you have the freedom to use none free software within a program. This is easily done, as if there is a none free element within the program - a simple EULA is needed. The GPL doesn't need rewriting, Microsoft etc can still use their EULA's, and Kodi can use DRM without breaking any 'ethics'.

I used to perform - but due to my Tourette's I am left knackered and ticcing badly straight after a performance. I have acted, performed magic and was in a comedy drag duo up until my ill health, all I still would enjoy, but thankfully IT and web design is the only thing that my conditions hasn't and will not touch!
